TAXONOMY OF QUALITY IMPROVEMENT AND QUALITY IMPROVEMENT STRATEGIES
FEBRUARY 19TH, 2019
Improving the quality of health care and assisting rural facilities in improving patient outcomes through improved process and performance Improvement continues to be part of the mission of the Center for Optimizing Rural Health (CORH).
Every day, millions of Americans receive high-quality health care. However, research reveals we have much work to do to reduce medical error and improve patient outcomes. A central goal of health care quality improvement is to maintain what is good about the existing quality improvement system while focusing on the areas that need performance and process improvement.
CORH is working continuously to identify and educate on “best practices” in quality and to share the best ways to collect, analyze, and disseminate data in efforts to demonstrate the impact of quality improvement and process improvement across the continuum of healthcare delivery.
It is our hope, your team will use this collection of information to assist your QI teams as you continue to improve the quality of healthcare delivery in your communities.
