1 in 2 U.S. physicians experiences burnout. Elise Arespacochaga, the Vice President of the AHA’s Physician Alliance, believes this implies that the origin of burnouts is rooted in the environment and care delivery system rather than the personal characteristics of a few burnout-susceptible individuals.
